Remembering Maundy Thursday/Church-Wide Communion Pick-up

We are going to have communion for Maundy Thursday. We are excited to be offering a drive-thru pick-up for communion elements on next Wednesday, April 8, from 4 - 6 pm. The elements will blessed during our online service this Sunday, and are already pre-packaged. During our Maundy Thursday online service, Pastor Steve Wende will be offering a  Great Thanksgiving, and ask that you, together with your family, take communion at that time. 

If for some reason you have extenuating circumstances and CANNOT get out, please contact Beth Parnell by  10 am Wed., April 8, 

at beth.parnell@lakewoodumc.org, to arrange a porch drop-off. Be looking for more details in future emails.

    Worship will continue to be available online each Sunday. A worship video will be sent to you via e-mail and will also be available on our website and Facebook. Please continue to worship with us virtually as we join together as a community of faith in these difficult times.

    Your financial support has been  strong. That is so important, because we all know the church needs to be strong in her ministry during these very challenging times. Please keep the help coming, so we can help others!

  • Helping

    The Matthew 25:35 Pantry remains open and is serving clients for those who need food and those whose jobs have been affected by quarantine. We have a team ready to assist those who are quarantined and are in need of groceries and other errand running. Please call the office for more details or click here for ways you can help.

    The Well on Wednesday nights, Sunday school, and Grow Groups will continue to meet online during the COVID-19 outbreak. Summer trips are open for sign ups with deadline fast approaching! Find out all the info you need for our online weekly gatherings and summer trip sign ups on our website.

  • Virtual Learning & Discipleship

    Lakewood UMC recently purchased a Zoom Executive account that is available for access to our small-groups, bible studies, and other discipleship classes. Zoom is an online video conferencing application that allows groups of people to meet virtually. If you are currently enrolled in one of these programs, look to your group leader for more information about meeting in the future or contact Pastor Trish.
