The Reverend Joe Fort, Jr. serves as the Senior Pastor at Lakewood United Methodist Church. He is a fourth generation United Methodist pastor, and is a graduate of Lamar University and Perkins School of Theology, SMU. The Reverend Fort served for six years as the Superintendent of the West District of the Texas Annual Conference, residing in College Station. Prior to this ministry he served as senior minister of the Kingwood United Methodist Church for twelve years. Reverend Fort has also held pastorates in League City, Crockett, and was the founding pastor of the Mauriceville UMC in Southeast Texas. He has been married to his wife Margaret for over thirty years. They have four children: Joe III, Ben, David, and Leslie. The younger three are married. Their spouses are Bethany, Connie, and Neal Ellis, respectively.
The Reverend Pam Cline serves at Lakewood UMC as an Associate Pastor, with focus on Caring and Outreach. She works with many or our caring ministries, including Stephen Ministry, the Gathering Place, Second Family, New Normal, as well as grief and adult respite concerns. She coordinates outreach ministries to the homebound, and is also been involved with welcoming and connecting ministries.
The Rev. Cline most recently served at the Lake Palestine United Methodist Church near Tyler. For almost ten years previously she served as associate pastor at the First United Methodist Church in Katy. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida, having a degree in business administration. She also studied at the South Texas College of Law and completed her ministerial training through Duke University and Southern Methodist University.
Pastor Shuler Sitsch has recently joined our staff in July of 2018. The Reverend Shuler Sitsch will be working with the young adult ministry here at Lakewood UMC, Table Groups and New Song worship. He most recently served at Memorial Drive UMC as a pastoral intern. Shuler is a graduate of Duke Divinity School and the University of Alabama. He moved to Houston this year from South Carolina, and was recently married to his wife Sara, who is a native Texan. He is passionate about worship, forming Christian disciples, and building up the church as the embodiment of the gospel.
The Reverend Trish Woodruff serves at Lakewood UMC as an Associate Pastor, with focus on serving in Discipleship, Benevolence, and Pastoral Counseling.
The Reverend Trish Woodruff previously served for two years as an Associate Pastor at Cornerstone UMC in Houston, where she served in discipleship, missions, care ministries, and stewardship. Trish is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky with a Masters of Divinity, and Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Business Administration.
