“When the Son of Man Comes”

Our senior pastor, Joe Fort, will lead this gathering on Sunday, December 8th. The study will look at the concept of the coming of the “Son of Man,” which was the primary messianic title which Jesus used with reference to himself. We will look not only at our Lord’s usage of this title, but also the prophetic background of the “Son of Man” contained in the Old Testament and in Jewish thought just before the coming of Christ. We will begin the evening with a light meal at 5:00 p.m., to be followed by the study session itself at 5:30. We will meet in Asbury Hall. Child care will be available for those who request it in advance.

Messiah Sing-A-Long

December 15, 2019

4:00 pm in the Sanctuary

The Chancel Choir and Orchestra will present George Frederick Handel’s Messiah. The performance will feature the Christmas portion of the work, including soloists and chorus. A highlight of this year’s performance is the invitation for the community to come sing along with the Choir on the choruses. This so-called “Scratch Messiah” is a recent British innovation, providing scores for those wishing to sing along. Messiah scores will be on sale in the narthex, along with details of the performance.
