Christmas Miracles at Lakewood
Beginning on November 4 in the Commons & outside Asbury Hall, you & your family will be able to see the ways you can share your Christmas joy with someone else.
• You can select a child in our community to purchase Christmas gifts for through Matthew 25:35 and our
relationship with Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM).
• You can purchase a gift for the children in the Bellaire area that we serve through the Children’s Activity Center.
• You can also choose to purchase grocery store gift cards to “Feed a Family” during the holidays.

LUMC'S Call of Hope
Third Thursdays of the Month Rescheduled for November 29
LUMC’s Call of Hope mission project is waging war against human trafficking in the Houston area. This group meets monthly, making phone calls to enslaved women, offering them a word of hope and a phone number to call for rescue. Call of Hope meets on the third Thursday of each month, upstairs in FC219/220, from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. Due to its sensitive nature, this ministry is only open to those 18 years old and over. Please contact Stephenie Huffman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Third Thursdays of the Month
We are blessed to have a very dedicated Coupon Ministry. This special group of people gets together at 1:30 pm in the LUMC library on the 3rd Thursday of every month to clip coupons that in turn get sent to military families. Coupons are collected in the church office and the Children’s Wing hallway. The military still allows usage up to 6 months past expiration, so expired coupons are okay! Interested in joining? Contact Lucille Massey at email@example.com.
For more information, go to our Student Ministries Page
9:15 am Students gather for donuts and time to hang out in the game room upstairs at Lakewood UMC before transitioning into grade-based groups for time to discuss and reflect on God's Word. Groups end at 10:30am. This Fall we will be looking at the Rise & Fall & Rise of God's Kingdom.
We meet 5 - 7pm at Lakewood UMC, unless otherwise stated, for a time to hang out, play games, and have fun. Relationships are the foundation of Christian discipleship, and Sunday evenings are a great place to build relationships and get to know one another better.
- November 18 - No MYF (Thanksgiving Break)
- November 25 - Fa-GA-GA-GA-GA-GA-GA-GA-BALL, 5-7 pm, Café/Loft
**We will not meet on November 21! Happy Thanksgiving!
