We will serve dinner in Asbury Hall beginning at 6:00 pm, then have our pastoral study from 6:30 - 7:00 pm.
Children Study "The Life of Jesus" will be available, please register your children as well. Youth are invited to join Student Ministries after dinner upstairs in the Loft.

Designers Welcome! Bring your daughter or granddaughter (ages 5+) to be a “designer” and let them watch as their creation goes from start to finish - giving girls the opportunity to participate in this fun mission project!

Prayers & Squares Quilting Ministry

Each quilt made is prayed over and given to someone in the church or community who is experiencing a difficult time in their life. Sustainable hygiene care solutions + social enterprise training = dignity, health and opportunity for Every Girl. Everywhere. Period. Providing hygiene kits to girls adds 2 years to their education that they would otherwise miss. This ministry meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 1:00 pm in the Loft and works to provide health and hygiene kits for girls around the world. Over 700 kits have already been distributed! Usher Luncheon Next Sunday

Disaster Recovery Mission "Florida Restores"
Lakewood will be sending a team to Florida to support the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church in their disaster recovery program titled “Florida Restores”. The dates of this mission will be June 2 – 8, 2019. We will be hosted by the Conference for this week and will be working in areas that are in the most need. We are very pleased to advise that 93.6% of every dollar donated to Habitat Northwest goes directly to the mission of providing safe, decent and affordable housing for those in need. LUMC'S Call of Hope
Third Thursdays of the Month
LUMC’s Call of Hope mission project is waging war against human trafficking in the Houston area. This group meets monthly, making phone calls to enslaved women, offering them a word of hope and a phone number to call for rescue. Call of Hope meets on the third Thursday of each month, upstairs in FC219/220, from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. Due to its sensitive nature, this ministry is only open to those 18 years old and over. Third Thursdays of the Month
We are blessed to have a very dedicated Coupon Ministry. This special group of people gets together at 1:30 pm in the LUMC library on the 3rd Thursday of every month to clip coupons that in turn get sent to military families. Coupons are collected in the church office and the Children’s Wing hallway. The military still allows usage up to 6 months past expiration, so expired coupons are okay! Interested in joining? Bus Trip to Round Top TX
SERENDIPITY, LUMC active seniors, travels by bus (must be 50yo for bus) on Thursday, March 28, to Round Top to tour Festival Hill Concert Hall and gardens. Then a buffet lunch at the Menke House. Bus leaves LUMC east parking lot at 8:00am and returns around 3:45pm. Cost, including the buffet, is $23 per person.
