Harvey monthly workday

HARVEY WORKDAYS

FRIDAY/SATURDAY APRIL 26/27

8:30 AM TO 4:00 PM

Meet at Lakewood UMC 8:30 AM, ASBURY HALL REAR DOORS
Register Online (see form below)

Join Lakewood UMC for Harvey Workdays!  We will work on one of our ‘adopted’ homes, and perhaps another location as well, depending on how many volunteers come out to help. We are working with Hope Disaster Recovery to pick work locations at this time. We will meet at the church at 8:30 AM each morning and work until 3:30 – 4:00 PM. Lakewood will provide lunch and drinks each day.

If you are available to work on one or both of these days, please contact Jack Aulick at zjwa02@comcast.net or sign up using the form below. We would appreciate you letting us know as soon as possible if you are available to so we can best ensure we have enough work for all.

All is Grace,

"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works."

We have partnered with HOPE Disaster Recovery and Houston Responds to continue to repair homes in our area. There are still over 5,000 families who are not back into their homes.

Hang tight while we prepare your form...

Hygiene Kits

Hygiene kits provide basic necessities to people who have been forced to leave their homes because of human conflict or natural disaster. Hygiene kits are also used as learning tools in personal hygiene, literacy, nutrition, and cooking classes.

Cleaning Kits (Flood Buckets)

These supplies enable people to begin the overwhelming job of cleaning up after a flood or hurricane.

Help Purchase Supplies

If you prefer to donate toward the purchase of supplies instead of buying and shipping them, give online to Material Resources, UMCOR Advance #901440.
