Grade Adventure is just 3 days away! This web page contains all necessary 6th graders signed up for our 6th Grade Adventure.
All those signed up need to arrive at the church at 8:30am this Thursday Aug. 9th. Please come to the entrance to the Faith Center on the side of the church that faces the old Walgreens across Jones Road. Students will check in and take their overnight bags and beds upstairs to the appropriate classroom.
Each student and leader needs to bring a sack lunch with their name on it for Thursday. We’ll put these in the refrigerator at the church until lunch time. That morning we will remain at the church doing various activities before eating lunch and heading to Hidden Lake in Katy for the afternoon.
Every student must have a medical information form on file in our Student Ministries office in order to be with us on the 6th Grade Adventure. You can find those by clicking here. Please email them to Amy Parker at email@example.com no later than Wednesday Aug. 8.
Thursday evening we’ll be at the church for dinner, small group time, and some free time before heading to bed. Showers will be available. Friday morning we’ll wake up, eat breakfast, have small group time, and head to Splashtown in Spring before returning to the church for a closing time of worship. Pick up will be on Friday Aug. 10 at 6pm.
Cell phones and other electronics are not allowed at 6th Grade Adventure. Please help us with this by making your student(s) leave these at home. At check in on Thursday students will be required to either:
- Turn their cell phone in to student ministry staff OR
- Give their cell phone to their parent in front of our check-in staff.
If you need to get a hold of your 6th grader or us during the event, you can call one of our staff members at the numbers provided in the email.
If your student takes any medications, these will need to be turned in to our staff at check-in on Thursday morning along with the medication administration form.
If you have not yet paid for the 6th Grade Adventure, please bring payment to check-in on Thursday.
6th Graders will not need money during our 2 days together, but if they wish to purchase an extra snack while at Splashtown, it is up to them to pay for that.
Lastly, please plan to join us for our “6th Grade Step Up” parent meeting this coming Sunday from 9:45-10:15am in the Loft upstairs. While your 6th graders are in their new Sunday school classes, we’ll meet to get to know one another and go over a few things.
We are very excited about this new event just for our 6th Graders! Please join me in prayer this week for it to go smoothly logisitically, for us to remain safe, and for us to begin building relationships that act as a foundation for this group to grow as disciples of Jesus during their time in Student Ministry. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
