Monthly MeetinG, First Sunday at noon in FC110

The Sheepdog Ministry is here to "Be Prepared" for medical emergencies, fire escape plans, weather alerts and disaster preparedness.

LUMC is blessed to have many medical professionals, Emergency Medical Technicians, paramedics, fire fighters, military professionals, and law enforcement personnel as members of our congregation. These members have volunteered to be a part of the Sheepdog Ministry, as well as help to help train and organize the team.

These men and women serve as guardians of the flock, keeping eyes and ears open to watch over Lakewood UMC during Sunday worship services, and other special events including weddings and funerals.

The Sheepdogs coordinate their efforts with Lakewood UMC Staff, Ushers, Greeters, Trustees, etc. to assist until first responders are on site in an emergency.

For more information on this ministry, email Steven Johnson.

We will be hosting a CPR/AED training in the fall of 2018. Date to be determined. Training may take up to 4 hours to complete. Upon completion you will receive your CPR/AED certification. There will be a $45 fee the day of training. Training will be provided by an instructor with The American Heart Association. For more information, contact Patty Henson.
