John Stephenson serves as Senior Pastor of Lakewood United Methodist Church. He previously served as senior pastor of Faith United Methodist Church in Richmond, Texas for four years. He has also served as senior pastor of First United Methodist Pasadena and Clear Lake United Methodist as Associate Pastor. John graduated from Perkins School of Theology with a Masters of Divinity and from The Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts in music. John is married to Amy and they have two children, Scott and Hannah; two dogs, Ruby and Lexi; and two cats, Lilo and Bo.
The Reverend Pam Cline serves at Lakewood UMC as an Associate Pastor, with focus on Congregation Care. She works with many or our caring ministries, including Stephen Ministry, the Gathering Place, Second Family, New Normal, as well as grief and adult respite concerns. She coordinates outreach ministries to the homebound, and is also been involved with welcoming and connecting ministries.
The Rev. Cline most recently served at the Lake Palestine United Methodist Church near Tyler. For almost ten years previously she served as associate pastor at the First United Methodist Church in Katy. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida, having a degree in business administration. She also studied at the South Texas College of Law and completed her ministerial training through Duke University and Southern Methodist University.
The Reverend Trish Woodruff serves at Lakewood UMC as an Associate Pastor, with focus on serving in Discipleship, Benevolence, and Pastoral Counseling.
The Reverend Trish Woodruff previously served for two years as an Associate Pastor at Cornerstone UMC in Houston, where she served in discipleship, missions, care ministries, and stewardship. Trish is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky with a Masters of Divinity, and Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Business Administration.
Pastor Shuler Sitsch serves at Lakewood UMC as an Associate Pastor, with focuses on Young Adult Ministry, the Table Group Ministry, Missions, and New Song Contemporary Worship.
Pastor Shuler most recently served at Memorial Drive UMC as a Pastoral Intern. Shuler is a graduate of Duke Divinity School with a Masters of Divinity and the University of Alabama with a Bachelors of Science in Music Education. He is married to his wife, Sara Sitsch, and they live with a crazy Goldendoodle named Mack. He is passionate about forming relationships, worshipping, teaching, and building up the church as the embodiment of the gospel.
Pastor Clay Smallwood has 15 years of experience in student ministry and is a graduate of Texas State University and has a Master of Arts in Youth Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary. Clay has been commissioned as a Deacon in the United Methodist Church and will be ordained in 2021. Clay serves as our Director of Student Ministries. He is passionate about student ministry and helping adolescents and their families to become disciples of Jesus and grow in holiness so that they can change the world!
