Women

Women's Ministries

Watch for announcements about our annual Women’s Ministry retreat on November 5 & 6. Friday night we will do a Mission Project & share a Salad Supper.
We will also play some fun games with great prizes. Saturday our speaker will be Pastor Heidi McGinnis. She is an incredible woman and I promise you
after you hear her speak you will feel like you are in the presence of Christ.

Food 4 Friends group will meet quarterly to prepare casseroles for members of our congregation that need a meal, whether they have been ill, had a
baby or any other reason they need a great meal. Our first Food 4 Friends will meet on Saturday, September 11, 10am in the Church Kitchen.

Have a heart for elementary children? Beginning in the Fall our “mentor program” will resume at Matzke Elementary, a school we partner with.
Mentors are assigned a student by the school counselor & we meet with them once a week for 30 minutes. I promise you will be the one “blessed”
by this relationship. Also in August we serve as “Bus Buddies” on the Matzke buses for the first 2 days of school. Please watch the website
for more details as we get closer to the start of school.

We also have groups that meet each month to participate in our Days for Girls, Prayer Quilts & Dancing Needles. Each of these groups make an incredible difference
in the lives of many people both here in our community and across the world. Days for Girls meets 1st Tuesday at 1pm. They ladies make kits for girls in rural
areas to be able to monitor their monthly periods so they continue to stay in school. Prayers & Squares meets the 1st & 2nd Wednesdays at 9am. This group makes
beautiful handmade Prayer Quilts to be sent to family & friends when they are needed. Each quilt is prayed over before it is sent out. Dancing Needles meets on the last Friday
of each month at 10am. Our women in Dancing Needles make lovely knitted shawls for women residing in Nursing homes or Assisted living facilities.

Please consider joining us for our Wednesday morning Women’s Bible Study. We meet from 10am-noon in Founders Court. Check our website frequently
for our updated schedule of studies.

Say Yes to the Dress” is a ministry where Moms/Grandmas & their Daughters/Grand daughters meet yearly to make dresses for girls all over the world.
The children choose the fabric, ribbons, buttons, etc. for each dress. Our Mission teams take these beautiful dresses to the countries where they go to
serve the Lord.
