Serving At Lakewood

With over 3300 members, Lakewood is not a small congregation any longer, but there are still plenty of ways in which everyone can find a personal avenue of service. With the exception of a few key administrative and personnel committees, most of our ministry teams are open to all and they welcome new members throughout the year to help in such areas as music and worship, education, children and youth, missions, neighborhood ministries, social witness, and many others. To get involved, contact Betty Christian, Hector Castelltort or Misty Celli at the church office for the name of the coordinator for the ministry in which you are interested.

WAYS TO SERVE:

Carry the light of Christ into worship, and out into the world! We are in need of a few more acolytes for our Sunday morning worship in the Sanctuary. Children ages 2nd - 5th grade are welcome to be in this special ministry.

Our Sanctuary services are in need of communion stewards and projection volunteers. If you would like to serve communion or learn to work the projection for Sunday mornings, please  for the opportunity to meet with him for one-on-one for training.

Altar Angels and Sanctuary Servants, two parts of the Visual Design Team, are looking for those who love to decorate, design, and organize! The Altar Angels help with altar design for the New Song service, and the Sanctuary Servants help keep the Sanctuary neat and beautiful. Both teams work on a rotating basis.
