Friday April 2nd - 5:45pm

Nothing comes easy. Living is about more than being comfortable. Jesus' struggle on his way to being crucified was not just spiritual, but physical as he was a human being. This event will help us identify with the true sacrifice Christ made for us and what our sins really weigh.

All students grades 6-12 and their families are invited to join us Good Friday for a new and unique event that will help us understand its significance and identify with the suffering of Jesus. Meet in the pumpkin patch yard at 5:45pm with clothing that you would exercise in. This will be a physically demanding event: our heart rates will be elevated and our muscles will be tired from strenuous exercises and carrying heavy wooden crosses. We will then attend the Good Friday service at 7pm, no change of clothes necessary.

Flower Cross Assembly

The Flower Cross is an Easter Tradition at Lakewood UMC. Families are able to take photos in front of a beautiful flower-filled cross on Easter morning because students put it all together on the Saturday before. Join us from 10am to 12pm in the Commons on Saturday 4/3 to help us fill the cross with flowers!

Easter Sunrise Serve

Easter Sunrise service will be Sunday April 4 at 6:30am on the lawn outside of All Saints Garden. We need help from students and parents beginning at 5:30am to set up chairs, to be scripture readers, and to offer prayers during the service. Please email clay.smallwood@lakewoodumc.org if you are willing and available.
